JSyn Examples now using the Beta Pure Java JSyn

Note: to hear the Pure Java JSyn you may need to uninstall your old native JSyn plugin. If you had installed it then you can uninstall it using the tool on this page.

To check whether you are running the new version, look in the Java Console when you run the Applet. You should see "Pure Java JSyn".

Wind using Pure Java JSyn

How it works:

This wind noise is created by feeding white noise into a low pass filter.  The cutoff frequency of the low pass filter is being modified by a slowly varying random ramp function.  Change the values below to hear their effect on the sound. The "Stage" control is used to trigger state changes in a circuit. The oscilloscope gives  you a plot of the amplitude of the wind circuit versus time.
